New Vendor Type: FMI-Managed
FMI-Managed service allows Merchants to gain access to farms that might otherwise only be reachable through intermediaries.
Some farms are naturally difficult to engage directly due to language and geographical barriers, and may also lack the staffing or technical resources needed to operate their own Vendor account. However, these farms believe in FMI and choose to trade through the platform.
With FMI-Managed, you can buy from these farms without extra effort - FMI handles account management, communication, and order coordination on the farms' behalf.
You can also streamline the shipment coordination process with our Freight by FMI (FBF) option.
How it works:
- FMI manages product listings, enquiries, orders, and coordination with the farm
- Pricing includes a transparent FMI service fee, agreed with the farm
- Merchants experience the same smooth communication and order process as with any other Vendor
Benefits for Merchants:
- Access farms that may otherwise decline new business
- Start shipments quickly with FMI-managed communication support
- Enjoy smoother transactions and a wider selection of quality farms
This service helps Merchants reach a wider range of farms with smoother communication and more secure transactions.
